As a partner at McDougall Self Currence McLeod, Peter G. Currence earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1996 and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in the same year. Peter G. Currence was admitted to the U.S. District Court of South Carolina in 1997.

In addition to his work at McDougall Self Currence McLeod, Peter G, Currence is also a member of the ABA Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute and the Richland County Bar. He received a distinguished honor in 2017 by Martindale-Hubbell for being Peer Rated for High Professional Achievement. Peter G.
